Wave: 2D+ Topology

Concept

Wave was a personal project, used as an opportunity to improve my co-design and laser-cutter skills. For this project, I developed a parametric system that allowed me to have a user manipulate a mesh plane into a form, and then have that form turned into a configurable pencil holder. The parts for the pencil holder were then exported, and laser-cut from acrylic. Although I already had experience with laser-cutters, this allowed me to work on my tolerance and assembly skills, as the form was designed with a snap-in-place bottom, allowing for it to be picked up without disintegrating. It took multiple iterations to be satisfied with the product, as wanted the assembly to be extremely easy for users.
